1. Singing Course: For the past few days, I've been running an offer for
a complimentary singing course. A GON reader informed me yesterday (thank you,
GON reader!) that the page the link was going to was no longer reaching the free
course, but rather a sales letter. I was not aware of this...and have since
contacted the company to determine why the complimentary course was removed. I'm
assuming due to a technical issue. I will let you know if and when it's
available again and I apologize for any confusion or inconvenience.
2. Fitness Classes: Starting on May 1st, I'm offering LIVE online virtual
fitness classes (I teach them...Zumba and Pound) to my GON readers for $5 per
class, or $20 to attend any and all classes during the month of May. Most
classes run at 8:15a and 6:15p central time. If you're interested in these, let
me know and I'll send more details. Anyone who did send me a waiver was sent an
email with payment instructions and the schedule. If you wrote to me and haven't
heard back, please resend your email.
A GON Reader Shares Favorite Pet Moments
Maria,
In response to your
March 29th Newsletter
I loved seeing the photo of your bunny. You've mentioned him several times and
now I can really 'see' him when you do. I have two dogs that, since my husband
passed away three years ago, really are great companions. They are sisters,
Lissa and Lexi. We adopted them from our local shelter when they were just eight
weeks old and they are now nine years old.
People who don't know them have a hard time telling them apart. They both look
like black labs with white markings and are about 65 pounds, but that is where
the similarity ends. They are both absolute loving dogs and we knew they had
Lab, Boxer and Pit Bull but nothing beyond that. So a couple of years ago, I had
a dog DNA test performed for both. Imagine my surprise when I learned that
Lissa's primary breed group was Chinese Sharpei then the three other breeds and
Lexi's primary is Brittany Spaniel plus the three.
Lexi will chase a ball as long as someone throws it. Lissa will carry a large
ball in her mouth, wag her tail so hard she hits herself in the side, and then
turn and growl at what's hitting her!
When I come home from the store, etc. Lexi will run all around me absolutely
'talking' to me...I'm sure telling me everything that happened while I was gone.
I realize this is probably way too lengthy, but I really enjoy being able to
share the moments only pet lovers can totally understand. It is interesting that
Buddy can also 'tell time' and know when it's time to eat!

A Gon Reader Uses This Common Household Item Differently
Hi Maria,
In response to your
April 13th Newsletter
Greetings from Malaysia. Your issue on running out of toilet paper really got my
attention. We as Malaysians generally, and Muslims specifically, don't use
toilet paper to clean up ourselves, but just to dry off. We use water instead. I
attached herewith an example of a hand bidet we're using. So the shortage issue
of toilet paper during this pandemic is not a big problem, since we still can
use dry towels after water.
I love your newsletter SO MUCH. I've been following you since 2011!
