  TO DO This Week

TO DO This Week

____ 1. Donate t-shirts you never wear. Most folks have a t-shirt drawer, and those that do almost always have t-shirts in it that they never wear. Rummage through your t-shirt drawer and pull out 5, 10, or more that you never wear. Donate them to your favorite local charitable organization. If you have t-shirts that are special to you (concert t-shirts, dance recital t-shirts, etc.) consider turning them into a memory quilt if you're crafty...or there are many companies that will be glad to do this for you.

____ 2. Iron an article of clothing (or two) that you haven't worn in awhile. I do my best to only purchase clothing that doesn't require ironing, but every now and then, something I want to wear has a wrinkle or two that I want out. I like my clothes to look crisp and neat, and if they're not, they spend a lot of time on a closet hanger or folded in a drawer. If there's something in your closet or drawer that requires ironing before you wear it, get that task done this week (hang it once it's ironed.) This way, if you're in a rush in the morning and want to wear that item, it's done and ready to put on.

____ 3. Pick up some hard-sided, washable containers for lunches eaten outside of the home, like school lunches, picnic lunches in the park, or if you brown bag lunch for work. A reusable container means less money spent on plastic bags, and less waste. Also, sturdy containers mean a lovely, more appealing, un-smooshed sandwich when you're ready for lunch.

  In Closing

'I feel like my style has always been influenced by 'less is more.' The coolest styles are kind of simple and classic, like a white T-shirt and jeans. Maybe you have a cool belt and cool shoes, but everything else you keep simple.'
