____ 1. Homemade soup. There is nothing like a bowl of hot soup on a cold
day, especially one that's homemade, and takes only a few ingredients to make.
Three of my favorites are a) Italian Wedding, b) Minestrone, and c) Mushroom
Barley. I always double, and sometimes triple, the recipe, and freeze the
extras for another night.
____ 2. Keeping extra face masks in the car. Wearing a face mask, during
our global pandemic, has been pretty commonplace these days, especially when
walking into a business, store, school, or medical facility. I can't tell you
how many times I've heard that folks have gone all the way to a store, realized
they forgot their mask at home, and had to drive all the way back to retrieve it
because the store didn't have any on hand. Rather than storing these masks in
the house, when they're washed and clean, I store them in our vehicles...in a
dollar-store type box. We keep disposable masks in those boxes as well. In doing
so, we don't have to ever worry about forgetting them at home. I also always
have about 5 disposable masks, in a Ziploc bag, in my purse.
____ 3. Using storage space effectively. These shelves I found are so
wonderful for ensuring you're making good use of your countertop, cabinet,
and/or fridge space, without taking up more surface space than is needed. This
