Empty Pringles containers (yes, the ones the potato chips come in) make wonderful 'gift boxes' for Christmas. Just wrap them with pretty paper, add small gifts (like nail polish, lotions, lip balm, etc.), put the plastic cap back on, and add a bow.

Last Christmas, my husband secured Christmas lights on our indoor banister and our outdoor fencing using zip ties. They're usually sold at home centers, like Menards, Lowes, or Home Depot. The Christmas lights were secured on the bannister (and fence) with the zip ties that get looped around the Christmas lights' cord, and he snipped off the 'extra plastic' (once the zip tie was tightened) with a scissor. It was so easy and the lights were very secure. When we were ready to take them down, we just snipped each zip tie loose. It made life so easy...and we'll definitely be doing the same thing this Christmas.
