My home office was painted brown, and though it looked nice and was smartly decorated, I hated to spend time in there. The brown was depressing and gloomy on dark days. I recently painted it a light pink color. It does make me feel happy to work in that room, especially when it's now darker and gloomier outside. Paint color really makes a difference in our moods.

Just wanted to let you know what to do with a regular file cabinet. I put wood grain contact paper on the outside. Now no one can tell that I have a red file cabinet and a tan cabinet. With so many different patterns of contact paper you can go as wild as you want without using paint.
