An organized clothes closet makes me a happier, more cheerful person. It adds life to the clothing and accessories I've spent my hard-earned money buying. It helps me avoid frustration because I can locate what I need quickly and easily. It saves money...because I can quickly find what I need, I don't make unnecessary duplicate purchases. And really...it just feels better to get dressed in attire that was removed from a hanger, rather than picked up off the floor or from a pile.

Of course, the first step to an organized clothes closet is making sure you weed out the clothes you never wear. By the way, most people only wear 20% of the clothes in their clothes closets...the rest just hang there, or sit in a pile on the floor. Food for thought.

Something, however, that immediately gives a closet an organized, consistent appearance is a set of matching hangers.

The ones I use in the master bedroom are wood, with a natural, smooth finish. They have rounded corners, notches for straps, hooks that rotate 360 degrees, and are made well. They come in sets of 20. Here is the link to them if you're interested in having a peek:

In my teenage daughter's closet, her hangers are heavy-duty plastic...all in white. Each hanger is a very nice quality, is slim (space-saving), has hooks for holding straps, and is both bendable and break-resistant. Here is the link to these hangers:

By the way, something you'll never find in my closet is a wire hanger. They send chills up my spine, Anyone who has seen the old movie, 'Mommie Dearest' (starring Joan Crawford) will be able to relate.
