Organizing Thought of the Day

10 Worthwhile Activities to Do on New Year's Day
1. Reach out and connect with others to wish them a happy new year and/or to
offer support and love. Connections are more important than ever these days.
2. Clean out your pantry, refrigerator, or clothes closet and start the new
year on an organized note.
3. Start reading a new book. It gives you time to relax and get cozy, and takes
you on a new adventure.
4. Go through your paperwork and recycle as much as you can.
5. Learn something new...something that will help you begin gaining a useful
skill.
6. Meal-plan for the next two weeks...perhaps healthy options for the new year?
7. Declutter computer files, email messages, or both.
8. Evaluate your finances. Begin cutting unnecessary expenses. Determine how
much you can put into savings each week...even if it's just a little bit, which
is better than nothing.
9. Scan old photos so you have a digital backup for safekeeping, and so you can
share them with friends on social media if you'd like. No scanner? Just take
photos of your printed photos.
10. Begin working on one of your January goals.
Happy New Year!
