Organizing Thought of the Day
|
Use your calendar to keep on track and motivated
Hopefully by now, you've printed the complimentary 2021 calendar mentioned in
this newsletter and on my web site. I just received this reader note in
response to the calendar:
Hi Maria,
Thank you for the new calendar for 2021! This gift will help to keep me 'on
track.'
Can you suggest a good way to use and display it? I have downloaded and printed
out mine, because I like to see/hold paper reminders in front of me. Would you
put it in a 3- ring binder? Make notes on it? Write in a tiny bit of progress
each day? Hang it on a wall? Lay it flat on my desk?
Thanks again.
Devoted reader,
Ellen Brown, Musician, Tempe, AZ
I'm glad Ellen asked because it now gives me the perfect topic for today's
newsletter! Here are some tips pertaining to the calendar.
When it comes to displaying the calendar, there are a number of options:
a) If you ONLY plan to LOOK at the calendar (and not write on it), displaying
it on a corkboard or on your fridge with a magnet is a great option.
b) If you plan to WRITE on it, you can lay it flat on your desk, countertop,
or wherever you plan to update it. I have all 12 months printed out and have
a small binder clip holding the pages together.
c) You can certainly place it in a 3-ring binder if you would like to. This
takes up a bit more space (which is why I don't do this myself), but protects
the pages, especially if you plan to transport it from one place to another.
As far as what you can write in each calendar day, again, lots of possibilities.
Here are a dozen.
1) Something you accomplished
2) Your favorite quote or scripture passage
3) Something you're thankful for
4) A word of the day that you want to focus on
5) A TO DO you want to get done
6) Something you learned today
7) A person you're praying for
8) What you're making for dinner
9) Self-Care...something you're doing just for you
10) A few words related to a fond memory
11) An idea (personal, work-related, travel thought, etc.)
12) A wish list
Hope this provides some thoughts to ponder. I like to make 'the most' of my
calendar. Yes, it's great for remembering dates, but with some of the above
ideas (and maybe you have some of your own) it can be a wonderful tool to keep
you on track and motivated all year round.

Say GOODBYE to Your CLUTTER
With My Most Complete, Easy-to-Use, and Effective
Clutter-Busting Resource Available
Goodbye Clutter
You won't believe how much lighter
you're going to feel!
For super quick details on how you can say goodbye to clutter, visit:
getorganizednow.com/rd-clutter.html
All people have clutter to some degree. You may have a little. You may have a
ton. MOST people are somewhere right in the middle.
For anyone who has clutter, have no doubt in your mind that CLUTTER GROWS. Small
clutter challenges soon turn into large clutter issues.
Plus, clutter is sneaky...it doesn't only show up in the pile of shoes you may
have in your closet, the overload of toys in the toy room, the boxes of stuff in
the basement, or the stuffed-to-the-max drawers and closets in your home.
Clutter can actually invade your life in FOUR forms...
1. Physical Clutter
2. Paper Clutter
3. Digital Clutter
4. Emotional Clutter
Once clutter is here, it begins to wreak all sorts of havoc...
There is only one way to get rid of clutter...and that is by using a proven-
effective clutter-removing system. Only then will you be able to face clutter
head-on and have the clutter-free life you deserve.
Want to say goodbye to your clutter? I have just the thing you need for a
glorious, clutter-free life. For more details, visit:

P.S. When you claim your very own copy of GOODBYE CLUTTER... before FRIDAY,
January 15...you'll also get $144 in COMPLIMENTARY BONUSES (ALL
written by me!)
___ 1. Do today's (January 9) Organizing TO DO provided in my January
Organizing Checklist. It's focused on supporting law enforcement. Visit
GetOrganizedNow.com to
access it.
___ 2. Dust off the top of your refrigerator. It gets so dusty on the top
of the fridge. To do this job, I use a
Microfiber duster with an extension pole this way I don't have to climb.
Some folks lay a towel on top of the fridge and then just wash and replace that
towel every so often. I've also seen some people place strips of plastic wrap up
there, and replace that every so often. Both of those choices will require most
people to climb to get to the top of the fridge. The microfiber duster makes it
easy to just swish the dust away, no climbing required.
___ 3. Be a clutter buster. Every day, choose one of your possessions and
take one of these four actions... Visit
