5 Great Ways to Organize with Clear, Hanging Shoe Organizers

Clear, hanging shoe organizers are helpful organizing tools. Funny thing is, I don't recommend them for organizing shoes. But they're great for:

1. Baby clothes: If you have a baby at home, the small pockets of these are the perfect size for organizing onesies, baby outfits, infant PJs, etc., keeping them all visible and easily accessible.

2. Ribbon/thread: If you craft with ribbon (card making and scrapbooking) or sew/quilt, these make wonderful, visible storage for both ribbon and thread.

3. Wires, cords, chargers: Boy, do we have A LOT of these, or what? Shoe organizers keep them untangled and visible. Be sure to label each pocket so you know what wire/cord/charger goes with what device.

4. Junk drawer organizer: Forget the drawer. Use each slot of a hanging shoe organizer for items typically kept in a junk drawer, minus anything that's junk, of course. You may add extra keys, measuring tape, an extra set of reading glasses, flashlight, and other 'helper' items you may need in a pinch.

5. First aide supplies: It's not fun when you have to look here, there, and everywhere for a band-aid. A hanging shoe organizer is a great tool for organizing band-aids, gauze, antiseptic, ace bandages, etc. When needed, all it takes is a quick glance.

6. Bathroom cleaning supplies: If you have a small bathroom, hanging shoe organizers are great for keeping bathroom items sorted...without the need for extra cabinets or additional shelving.

  Take Action

___ 1. Do today's (January 27) Organizing TO DO provided in my January Organizing Checklist, especially if your clothes closet is stuffed. Visit GetOrganizedNow.com to access it.

___ 2. Learn how to clean a room, easily and effectively, top to bottom. My brand new, comprehensive article on this very subject was just published. You'll learn my step-by-step method, as well as room-by-room suggestions. Visit GetOrganizedNow.com to access it.

___ 3. Designate a library book holder. If you frequent the library like I do, place or hang a tote bag (specifically designated for this purpose) by your door. All library books not being read (already read, or waiting to be read) are stored in the tote. When you're ready to return the books, before the due date, they'll all be in one place. By the way, my local library has been open and closed, intermittently, during the pandemic. Yours may be as well. So be sure to call before making the trip.
