Organizing Thought of the Day

The Plan That Didn't Exactly End Up as Planned
It's important to be sure that whatever you're working on and investing your
time doing is the most effective, productive way to do it...and that it is
highly likely to result in what you envisioned when you started. Here's a story
I'd like to share with you on this subject.
A painfully shy man fell in love with a woman. He sensed that she felt the
same way, but he couldn't find the courage to ask her out. Finally, he decided
he would mail her an anonymous love letter every day for one year, and then ask
her for a date. Faithfully, he followed his plan, and at year's end he was
courageous enough to call her, only to discover that she had gotten married...to
the letter carrier!
This man committed to a method AND invested a lot of time writing letters (a
year's worth). He knew what his goal was, and he had a deadline and a plan.
Unfortunately, the end result was nothing like what he envisioned.
What happened?
Well, his plan wasn't a very good one. It wasn't one that would likely end up
with the result he wanted.
Initially, he couldn't find the courage to ask her out, so he decided to send
her love letters. That was probably not a bad idea to begin. Sending those
letters anonymously? Maybe OK for the first few, but not for all the subsequent
ones. Dragging this on for a full year? We all know how that turned out.
Now, this is not to say that everything we do always results in the way we want
it to turn out. But, there are definitely actions we can think-through and take
to increase our success chances dramatically
For instance, writing good notes in a notebook is an effective action for
remembering the steps we took to fix a computer problem. Should it happen
in the future, we just have to open the notebook and repeat those steps.
Not packing our schedule to the max is a good action for ensuring we
don't get overwhelmed. It's also a good action to help us be 'on time' for
the majority of our appointments.
Keeping only one calendar, versus many, is a good action
for ensuring we don't inadvertently double-book two appointments.
Goals and deadlines are vital. But so are the actions that we take to fulfill
those goals by those deadlines.
Think through the actions you're taking to reach a goal. At the beginning and
throughout your journey, remove (or adjust) any along the way that may hinder
your chances of getting to whatever you envision your end point to be.

Something Special For You

Get Your Free Pass
to the Heart Brain Online Event
February is heart health month, and I have something very special for you.
Most people don't know this, but the heart sends more signals to the brain than
the brain sends to the heart. Those heart signals contain a wide range of
information that affect how the brain thinks and perceives.
These heart signals have a significant effect on brain function and improve
positive emotions, attention, perception, memory, problem-solving, and
intuition. It also greatly reduces insecurity and stress, which are huge
obstacles to success.
When the heart and brain are in sync, your intelligence expands and you gain
access to more intuitive downloads and meaningful insights.
Heart health is not only physical, but also emotional. During the Heart Brain
Fest, you will learn all about syncing your heart and brain
for your health and well-being.
