  Organizing Thought of the Day

Tools That Help Keep My Kitchen Organized

While effective organization begins in our minds, there are some tools that can certainly help us execute our intentions. Here are three kitchen helpers that I love...

1. Drawer and Utensil Organizer: Rummaging through kitchen drawers is a thing of the past when you have a good drawer and utensil organizer. This one sorts everything beautifully, is made of bamboo, cleans easily, and (my favorite part) is expandable, which means no wasted space. For details, visit: Bamboo drawer and utensil organizer

2. Helper Shelves: We can't always adjust the height of our shelves in kitchen cabinets and pantries...and this often results in wasted space. That's where the beauty of 'helper shelves' comes into play. They actually increase 'usable' cabinet space. This one is expandable...and isn't ONLY for the kitchen. It can be used in the bathroom, on top of a counter, in your office, etc. For details, visit:

3. Glass Food Storage Containers: When I cook, I nearly always cook enough so that we have leftovers for another dinner...or at least for a few lunches. I really like glass containers because they don't stain and don't retain food odors from whatever was previously being stored in them.

This set is multi-size, clear (so I know exactly what's in them without the need to label or open), and each container comes with a lid. Plus, they're dishwasher, freezer, microwave, and preheated-oven safe. Yes, I keep a set of Gladware in my home for foods we're taking on-the-go, but to store leftovers, I love my glass food storage containers.
