Organizing Thought of the Day

Giving Gifts That Don't End Up as Clutter
|
I love giving gifts...especially when it's a surprise and the person isn't
expecting it. But I also know that what I feel is the perfect gift from my
standpoint, may not always be the perfect gift from someone's else's
perspective. Sometimes, what we think will end up being loved and useful, ends
up stuffed in a drawer or closet, destined for dust and never to see the light
of day.
Knowing this full well, I do whatever I can do to help ensure my gift doesn't
end up as clutter. These types of gifts stand an excellent chance of being
enjoyed.
a) Some members of my family use a tool on Amazon called a 'wish list.' For
instance, my sister and niece use it. When they see something they like, no
matter what time of the year, they add it to their wish list. When I want to
send them a gift, I'll almost always check to see if they've added anything to
it...and will often purchase one of those choices. Obviously, it's something
they need and want, so I already know it's a good gift choice.
b) I like to give 'experiences.' For friends and family who I know love to dine
out, gift cards to restaurants are a good choice...especially to restaurants
that offer take-out right now, in case those recipients are not venturing out to
restaurants yet. As another example, if a gift recipient likes to golf, a gift
card to an indoor or outdoor golf range may be appreciated. A zoo pass may be
wonderful as an experience gift for a family.
c) Think 'edible.' As long as you know what the person/family likes and any
allergies, edible gifts are perfect for delighting the recipient and keeping the
clutter away. Once they're eaten, they're no longer taking up space. There are
so many choices...candy, popcorn, nuts, fruit, cheese, tea, coffee, relish,
wine, seasonings, meats, oils...the list is endless.
d) Gift a service. Sometimes, your gift recipient may LOVE a service, such
as a house cleaning, a hair cut, gym passes, a TV movie subscription, or fuel
for their car.
If I do choose to give a physical gift, and I absolutely do this sometimes when
I'm 99.99999% sure a gift will be used, I'll often purchase a SMALL physical
gift to go along with a gift card. For instance, one friend of mine is a crafter
and I know the exact name brand and types of crafts she uses. So I might buy her
something small for her crafting to go along with a gift card. In doing this,
she has something to 'unwrap'...as well as a gift card to use for whatever she
would like.

Say Goodbye to Your Dog's
Problem Behaviors with...
Brain Training for Dogs
You'll love this...
and the Complimentary Bonus as well!
To fast forward to making your dog's problem behaviors disappear, visit:
www.getorganizednow.com/rd-brainy-dog.html
No matter what your dog's problem behavior is, be it jumping, peeing in the
house, aggression, pulling on the leash...or whatever, there is ONE SOLUTION
that can help STOP this problem now.
The sad fact is, most dog trainers miss this solution entirely. They give you
cookie cutting training programs. They use outdated, mean, and unkind dominance
techniques. Or worse yet, they have no qualifications to be offering advice.
So what's the answer to stopping your dog's behavioral problems? In 5 simple
words...
Discovering your dog's hidden intelligence.
Let me explain. More intelligent dogs are better behaved. A more intelligent dog
takes commands easier and understands what you need. The good news is, no matter
how clever you think your dog is, you can unlock your pet's hidden intelligence
quickly and easily.
Don't waste a second longer coping with problem behaviors you don't need to be
dealing with. Visit this link to learn more about Brain Training for Dogs:
