Using Paint Chips to Get and Stay Organized
|
Most of us have picked up paint chips at one time or another. Here are a few
ways you can use them for getting and staying organized, once you're done using
them to select your paint colors:
1) Gift tags: Just punch a hole in them, string a pretty ribbon through
the hole, and write your gift recipient's name on it. If you have craft punches
(stars, hearts, etc.), you can cut them into shapes too!
2) Bookmarks: Paint chips make wonderful bookmarks to hold your spot in
the book you're reading. Use them as is, or punch a hole through the center top
and string a ribbon through it.
3) Hold earrings: Make two tiny pinholes on a paint chip, and you have
the perfect holder for a pair of pierced earrings. If it's a large paint chip,
you can hold several pairs. This works really well for travel, so those tiny
earrings don't get lost.
4) Make a colorful motivational tool: Punch a hole in 10 or more paint
chips. Then, write a favorite quote or saying on each. String one piece of
ribbon through all the chips and tie. You now have a colorful motivational tool
to stick in your purse or briefcase whenever you need a boost. This also makes a
fun, decorative item to add to a gift for a friend.
