Top 10 Items I Always Have in the Car
|
During the spring/summer months, I'm more apt to hop in my car and go somewhere
on a nice sunny day than I am to stay at home. I want that experience to be
organized...because when it is, it's more pleasant to be out. Here are the
top 10 items I always have in my car:
1) A box of tissues: We all need a tissue now and then. Having no tissues
in the car when one is needed is no fun, and a soft Kleenex is so much better
than blowing one's nose with a coarse napkin.
2) Sunglasses: I have a pair, specifically for driving, stored in my
car...ready whenever the sun is too bright to drive without them.
3) A sweatshirt: This time of year, restaurants and stores tend to have
the air-conditioner running, full blast. I don't enjoy eating or shopping when
I'm freezing. Having a sweatshirt in the car ensures this won't happen.
4) An umbrella: Even the sunniest days can end up in a rainstorm.
5) A phone charging cord: I have one that is always stored in the car,
just in case.
6) Napkins: Great to have anytime food is being eaten in the car.
7) Wet wipes/hand sanitizer: Great for quick clean ups after eating,
tidying the car, or getting fuel.
8) A feather-duster: I have a
small feather duster, especially meant to
be used in the car. Whenever I'm parked and 'waiting' for whatever/whoever, I
quick-dust the dashboard, cup holders, etc.
9) Two small trash bags: Any trash gets put into the trash bag...and it
gets emptied when we get fuel for the car. We keep two in case the first one
needs to be discarded.
10) First-aid kit: Better to be safe than sorry. I've pulled bandaids
and antiseptic out of that kit on more than one occasion.
