Organizing Thought of the Day
|
Day 1: Organizing Starts in Your Mind
|
While there are a small percentage of people who have a difficult time getting
organized because of some physical limitations, the obstacle for the majority of
people is not physical, but rather mainly in their minds. In other words, how
you think about organizing, can greatly affect the actual outcome of the
organizing itself. This week, for 5 days, I'll be focused on how to get you in
the right mind-set to organize. Today is Day 1.
Think small.
Many people have to do nothing more than LOOK at their clutter, and they become
completely overwhelmed. They see it all as one huge, insurmountable challenge.
If this happens to you, work on training your mind to focus on breaking up that
huge obstacle...the boulder you see in your path...into small pebbles.
Then, just deal with one small pebble at a time.
Rather that focusing on a cluttered kitchen, set your mind on one counter
area.
Instead of focusing on an overflowing garage, begin with one shelf.
If you have 10 boxes of paperwork to plow through, concentrate on one box at a
time. In fact, if possible, move that one box to an area away from the other
boxes to work on it, so you're not distracted by the other nine.
When you're overwhelmed with something to the point that you are feeling like a
deer in headlights, don't look at the big picture. Scale back, think small, and
begin.

To fast forward to making your dog's problem behaviors disappear, visit:

No matter what your dog's problem behavior is, be it jumping, peeing in the
house, aggression, pulling on the leash...or whatever, there is ONE SOLUTION
that can help STOP this problem now.
The sad fact is, most dog trainers miss this solution entirely. They give you
cookie cutting training programs. They use outdated, mean, and unkind dominance
techniques. Or worse yet, they have no qualifications to be offering advice.
So what's the answer to stopping your dog's behavioral problems? In 5 simple
words...
Discovering your dog's hidden intelligence.
Let me explain. More intelligent dogs are better behaved. A more intelligent dog
takes commands easier and understands what you need. The good news is, no matter
how clever you think your dog is, you can unlock your pet's hidden intelligence
quickly and easily.
Don't waste a second longer coping with problem behaviors you don't need to be
dealing with. Visit this link to learn more about Brain Training for Dogs:

'I think maybe bad things seem worse when people are alone. When they can
turn that bad thought over and over in their head, polishing it like a stone,
until it shines dark and black. Maybe the key to making things better is being
with other people. Little by little, smiles and laughter and hugs can chip away
at any dark stone, even if it's as big as a boulder to start. Then finally, bit
by bit, it shrinks until it's no bigger than a pebble, something that even I
could kick down the road.' (Shannon Wiersbitzky)
I'd love to hear from you.
