  Organizing Thought of the Day

Make a Waiting Bag

No matter what, every once in awhile, you're going to find yourself waiting. You might be on hold on the telephone, or sitting in the dentist's office awaiting your turn, or at the train station waiting for your train to arrive.

Make that waiting time count by always carrying around a 'Waiting Bag' with you. Stock that bag with a few things you have or want to do. You may pack a book to read, or your latest knitting project. Perhaps you might bring your cell phone to make some necessary calls, stationery to catch up on correspondence or your ear buds to listen to an audio book.

A friend of mine enjoys coloring whenever she's waiting. She has an adult coloring book and a set of markers with her at all times. She finds it relaxing and enjoyable...and this activity doesn't require too much thinking. She says she thinks enough at home and at work...so she considers it a mini-vacation whenever she finds herself waiting.

Someone else I know always has a notebook, a crossword puzzle, and erasable pencils. She uses her notebook to journal, make lists, come up with gift ideas, or to simply jot down something interesting she sees. And the crossword puzzle book allows her to work on something on those longer waiting days, like when she's waiting for her husband's appointment to end at the VA, or when she's waiting for the color in her hair to process at the salon.

I've even seen folks knitting or crocheting during business meetings, or school board meetings, while they're waiting for the part that involves them. This won't fly everywhere, but it is fine in many situations and allows folks to keep their hands busy...and results in a fun blanket, scarf, etc.

The 'Waiting Bag' ensures you're always doing something productive and/or enjoyable with your time. Find a nice tote bag that suits your personality and fill it with anything you'll find productive or enjoyable next time you find yourself waiting.

Have you ever found yourself alone, singing a song...maybe out of tune... only to realize a co-worker or family member listening and making fun of your ability? Or maybe it was an insensitive joke, like: 'Don't give up your day job.'

We shrug these things off and pretend they don't bother us, but it hurts and it ruins our joy of singing.

On the other hand, you may be very excited to know that, within a matter of weeks, you could...

Be singing so incredibly well, with power and expression...that you'll not only thoroughly impress your friends and family, but feel amazing about yourself and your ability as well!

This leads me to something really good that I know you're going to love. If you've ever wanted to learn how to sing (or to sing better), this singing course is head and shoulders above the rest...it's called Singorama.
