Fabulous Organizing Tips and Thoughts
from GON Readers
Here are a bunch of tips and thoughts from GON Readers to brighten your day...
To better organize toiletries, I did this
To better organize toiletries and other bathroom items, I bought a few three-drawer storage containers. I made labels on my computer with the contents of each drawer--i.e. deodorant, soap, band-aids etc., pairing up like-items together. I then attached the labels to the front of the drawers, and filled the drawers with the appropriate items.
This saves time and money since I don't have to search for what I need. Also, since I can now see everything at a glance, rather then them being hidden in the clutter, I don't run out and buy items I already have. It took a little time to set up, but boy was it worth it!

How I stay de-stressed and use time effectively
I have a rather long commute to work, and often get stuck in traffic. One of the ways that I stay de-stressed and use the time more effectively is by listening to audio books. My library provides tons of free options to do this. Listening to books on tape during my commute, helps me reach my reading goal of four books a month. In fact, in the past week I have finished 3 books alone!

For parents who feel guilty throwing away kids artwork
I love your newsletter, and thought that some other mothers would enjoy my favorite tip. I get really guilty feeling when I throw away my kids' artwork. And being the mom of four children, we accumulate a lot of it!
Here's what I do: save a month's worth of their work, lie it on the floor or tape it to the wall and have your kiddo stand around it for a photograph. This will allow you to remember what your child looked like when he/she made these creations and you'll have a permanent record in your memory book.
What to do with the actual artwork when you're done taking the photo? Just save a few of the very special pieces for your child's scrapbook and toss the rest, or use the artwork as gift wrapping paper for friends and relatives.

Send a greeting card to this person to let them know you're thinking of them. This may seem like such a small gesture, but it can have such a big impact.
