I recently wrote a newsletter highlighting National App Day on December 11th, and it sparked an outpouring
of responses from readers. Here are just a few of the thoughtful letters I received...

I just did the phone cleanup yesterday while waiting for a new car key to be programmed at the car dealership. All those apps were annoying. I was stuck for an unexpected hour.
Hard to name a favorite. I think one would be
Reminders. I use them as quick memory joggers. When I think of something I need to do at a certain place or future time or day, I set a reminder.
Close behind are Google Maps (to check traffic and best route), List!Lite, Notes, podcasts, Libby, Health, iBooks (I store
frequently used manuals and current project patterns), and lately Focus/Do Not Disturb setting as well as Magnifier.
I remember years ago asking for a plain cellular phone without all the extras because I had a PDA already. My, how times have changed. This has become a helpful tool.
Thank you for visiting my inbox daily. Your daily ezine is a favorite. So thought provoking. I love seeing other readers ideas too.

Maria,
I love my Audible app, but I love my cloudLibrary more. You get whatever app your local library offers, and all those books are free. And you go to the library one time to get the app set up, and then the app does all the work for you, including
returning the books on time and letting you place holds.
I have rationalized that while I am working in the yard, decluttering, or doing chores around the house that I don’t enjoy, or even walking in the neighborhood, I can increase my willingness to do those
things by listening to a really good book.

My latest new app is Yuka. It scans food items with bar codes and determines healthy values, and provides suggestions for other food items that are more healthy.

My favorite App is Libby...a library in my phone!
