Comedy as a Reset Button

Comedian and actor Chevy Chase has been making audiences laugh for decades. Many know him best as the well-meaning but hapless Clark Griswold in the National Lampoon’s Vacation films, while others remember him as one of the original cast members of Saturday Night Live. He was the very first anchor of SNL’s “Weekend Update” segment, where his quick wit and dry humor set the tone for the show’s signature style.

Chase’s career has spanned generations, with roles in classics like Caddyshack and Fletch, and later on the hit sitcom Community. Along the way, he’s picked up Emmy and Golden Globe awards and cemented his place in comedy history.

So what does Chevy Chase have to do with organizing? More than you might think. Laughter has a way of cutting through stress and mental clutter. A good laugh can reset your mood, clear your head, and even spark motivation to tackle that messy drawer or neglected closet.

Watching someone like Clark Griswold turn household chaos into comedy reminds us that sometimes, seeing the humor in life’s messes makes everything feel a little lighter.
